ALA 2012

Hey its Mz here and I’ll give you a rundown of how ALA was for me I’ll try and make it really short, because I could go onnnnnn about this con xD

day 0- Saku came over to my house pretty late in the day due to errands she had to run. It was okay though because we weren’t gonna get the badges beforehand anyways P:. We had to fix our Cake friend’s cosplay and fix Saku’s and do my wig. It was CRAZZYYYY at my house trying to do everything before going over to our Cake friend’s house… By the time we got to Cake’s house we still had to fix up cosplays and wait for our other friend Chukairi  ! I don’t think we finished everything until like 1am D: 

day 1- We woke up at 6-7am and then go into our ADVENTURE TIMEEEE cosplays :) We got to the con like exactly at 9am, andd that’s when we met Ejen/Cosplay in America. We chatted with him for a few minutes and then we had to go to artist alley. Since all 3 of them were working in artist alley I had to lone wolf it for most of the con. LUCKILY though I had a ton of friends that were at the con already and I even made new ones :)  Since I was Ice Queen I was stopped like every 10 minutes or so! It was REALLY crazy for me since I ALWAYS cosplay low key characters. It was a big change in pace for me, even at a smaller con like ALA. It makes me wonder whats gonna happen at fanime/ax. I even got the hall costume award for my ice queen >w< THANK YOU HIDDEN JUDGES <3

day 2/3- I was Fuu from Samurai Champloo for these two days. I just basically hung out with friends some more. I think that’s the good thing about small cons, is that it’s more social and you get more connections. On the 2nd day though while walking with my friend I dropped my phone and camera. I picked up my phone but didn’t realize at the time that my camera wasn’t picked up. A few minutes later I was like wait… WHERE’S MY CAMERA and frantically ran around everywhere trying to retrace my steps. My friend told me to check lost and found and I was like WHAT NO IT JUST HAPPENED 5 MINUTES AGO! WHO’S GOING TO RETURN MY SHIT TO ME…. But then I went anyways and it was totally there! THANK YOU TO WHOEVER PUT IT THERE BECAUSE I OWE YOU MY LIFE! I would have cried if I lost my camera D: 

anyways I’m not gonna go on about this ahha or it’ll be too long. 

All in all, ALA was a really good experience for me. It was my first time at another con other than Anime Expo. I never experienced a smaller con so having it be ALA was a good plus :) I fangirled so much over the weekend,

it was pretty hilarious seeing as how I’m usually not that kind of person!

Sorry to the people that have followed us over the summer :x our cosplaying hasn’t been super active :( BUTTTT luckilyyy for ya’ll we have ALA (Anime Los Angeles) 2012 coming up in January, so we’re getting ready for that :)

i never updated with the finals of my cosplays. Lol mostly because i didn’t get many pictures from them, i guess it comes with being busy during the con and my bad reputation with cameras :/

Hibari, i never got any pictures from the con so these are all i have D: But i got asked for more pictures as hibari then as winry! which was cool! I had fangirls XD and one girl made me this awesome thing!!! SO FLIPPIN COOL! I WILL CHERISH THIS FOREVER XDXDXDXD

Winry :D i don’t think i will ever do this cosplay again, not that i didn’t have fun doing it but i think i’ll be cutting my long hair off soon and I’ll probably end up selling it. :)
Over all AX was amazing and I had a lot of fun regardless of being dead tired and completely stressed out before hand XD
Can’t wait for my next con!!! XDXDXDXD

Anime Expo 2011 RunDown

(p.s. this is SOOO copypasta from my deviantart so sorry, but there are some extra things I’m writing about on here so read this one if you want too.)

LOL KIDDING, but really AX was pretty fun this year. I was SO happy that the staff wasn’t all crazy bat shits strict on us like last year. We got to sit ALL OVER the halls and the staff seemed a bit more chillax. The only bad things about AX is the effing smelllll as always, the heat as always, and the panels being almost 100% LATE all four days :x But whatever I still got to see the things I wanted to see. I didn’t go to any concerts though because I didn’t really like anything. If they were free I would have gone LOL! 

Prepare for wall of text

Day0- Lined up super late at like 5pm and BARELY got out in time at 7:45ish. That line fucking smelled and was fucking hot… Thank god we were able to move into the shade. But otherwise the line was pretty smooth and fast :) I COULD NOT FUCKING SLEEP AT ALL THIS DAY… SO I WAS FUCKING TIRED DAY 1…

Day1- After being awake for 32+ hours I met up with Chris, Phil, and Megan while I was Deoxys because they were Red/Blue. We hung out some and got some awesome food at the food trucks outside (thank god they had food trucks because con food is fucking overpriced, but the downside is the heat outside….) Also I caught up with Corodo for a while while he was LItwick. We went to the pokemon gathering and it was kinda disorganized mainly because I think the group was huge and the space we had was small (or no one gave us effing room to move so….)At night my friends and I went to Anime Singled Out (it’s like a dating game) and holy fuck it was funny and sexually awkward as fuck! I hardly got sleep again this day… probably 3 hours max…

Also I have a little cosplay rant…

A pet peeve of cosplay that I have is that I HATE it when people make characters more skanky than they should be… At a certain gathering I went to there was a genderbent cosplayer but with an angel!Panty outfit… And I seriously said this outloud about the cosplayer,”Why do people make characters skankier than they should be”. And some girl looked up at me all like :| “What?!” And I just thought to myself, “ahhahAAHAHH! OH she must be a friend..” But really… Don’t skank a character out, especially if they would NEVER act like that. I can see how it would be just for fun like the Pokemon Men/Man Faye/Man Misty/etc. and all that shit but, yes this is probably sexist but when guys do it, it’s kind of okay, because it’s funny (or at least I think it is to some extent). When girls do it, it just makes them look like a whore…

Day2- This day was a horrible mess for me LOL. I should blame myself though because I kept trying to meet up with a billion people D;. I group hopped throughout the whole day and I swear that was probably a bad move! One moment I leave my hotel friends to find my staff and cosplay friends and the next moment my hotel friends are walking back to the hotel D; Sooo I decided to hang in the exhibit hall because I cosplayed Fuu this day and was trying endlessly to find a Mugen and Jin. AND I FOUND THEM! I found Jin first and asked him if he ever saw a Mugen and he did! So he directed me to the direction he found Mugen and BAM I found Mugen (It was a girl cosplaying and she had a Yatsuha with her and I was like omfg GOLD!)! We kept saying we should try and find each other again, but alas we ended up like the anime ending and never found each other again… LOL. I also visited my artist alley friends, our very own Saku/Rachel and Jasmine! I was about to leave the exhibit hall, but then I fucking saw the whole south hall being evacuated and went holy fuck, what happened. I asked the staff but they had no clue (now that I think about it, they probably pretended to not know so everyone wouldn’t panic) so I hung around the Bandai booth and overheard the guy saying there was a bomb threat thing or something… I just decided to exit the exhibit hall and went to find my friends in the west hall lobby… After the evacuation thing cleared up the day finally got a little better. But also after this I kind of don’t remember what happened… LOL And I didn’t go to the concerts for this day because again, I don’t really like the people performing :x   I finally slept for once this day…  

Day3- For some reason this day is just a big blur…. probably because I was jet lagged with all the sleep I NEVER GOT Dx… My voice also gave out and I have no fucking idea how… I wasn’t even yelling that much day 1 or day 2 sooo GRRR… Anyways I was Fuu again because I wanted to see if I could find a Mugen/Jin again, never happened /forever sad. In all honesty this is all I remember from this day… LOL Besides going to Ihop and taking silly pictures and seeing Last Comic Standing (I’ma call it LCS), that’s all I remember. LCS was pretty funny too, well at least for the first half. I love nerd/geek/anime/video game/sexual jokes so this event is always something to look forward to. I mean who the fuck wants to go to Masquerade anymore pfttt I’d rather go to LCS where I know I’m laugh like fuck! The ending got pretty slow though, for some reason the last few people weren’t that funny, esp. the last guy, damn people shouted for him to leave the stage, that was pretty sad :\ But on a lighter note a girl was finally 2nd place and the guy that won I thought deserved it, he had some pretty nice jokes. This day was when I had the best fucking sleep ever LOL! 

Day 4- SOOOO basically this day was like exhibit hall day. The whole AX I NEVER really checked out what they had…. I was always finding people or hanging out somewhere else that I never had time to see what people were selling… I bought a Samurai Champloo artbook for $20 because it was just too pretty! I kept looking at it and my friend was like Dude if you keep staring at it, might as well buy it, so I did xD I also bought a Soul Eater wall scroll of Maka and Soul :) A booth also had the Soul Eater art book but it was $57 and I was like NOOOOO all my tears D:  I’ll probably ask for it for my birthday ROFL! Anyways my friends and I finally left AX at 4pmish. I was tired as hell when I got home… 

Bah I have summer school tomorrow… Not fucking cool I’ma be so tired and sound like a man still UGH :’(

Anyways YUP that was AX 2011! Shoutouts to everyone I saw but didn’t/couldn’t mention. I hope to see everyone again next year and make even more friends :)
